1. What is the meaning of your name? {group if applicable}
Dizzy Dee is a name derived from my birth name which is Desire
I got the name Dizzy Dee in primary school from my friends and it
catch on from then.
2. What does your music bring to the reggae genre?
I bring a different vibe since I mix an African concept in it like the
sounds of Lucky Dube but I am still unique in my own way
3. Who influenced you? And what is your motivation?
I have always listened to Reggae from when I was younger and basically
my bigger brothers in my hood are my influences since they used to run
a local sound system and I ended up part of it. I am motivated the
driving force in me that tells me never to give up
4. What do you see as the future of reggae and music in general?
Well Reggae has always been outstanding in terms of message and rhythm
and I think the future has many rising stars and I have much to offer
since I believe I haven't reached my full potential and I am yet to
explore new boundaries with in music.
5. Playing or recording what do you prefer?
I could say I love both and in terms of preference it all depends. I
love recording because that is the time I feel at peace with myself
and feel I can express myself to the microphone and its such an
uplifting time for me and the studio is like a playground because i
get to experiment and practice new things in between time. As for
performing, I always try to give it 200 % so at least if it was the
first time to see me you would get an impression, so I guess I do my
best when it comes to pleasing my fans at large
6. Please tell the folks what you would like them to know.
