How To Use The Chat Room

We now have chat:
You can participate in the chatroom directly from any page of the network, by accessing the Chat bar at the bottom of the page. From the Chat bar, you can see the number of members signed into Chat, pop the Chat window up, pop the Chat window out into a new window, and toggle your status as online or disconnected from Chat.

When you sign in to the network, you will automatically appear as "online" in the chatroom.In the right column, a list of members currently in the chatroom appears.Clicking on a member's profile photo pops up a dialogue that allows you to view their profile on the social network or initiate a private chat with them. When the member accepts, the two of you will be placed in your own separate chatroom. You can hop back into the main chatroom by clicking the "Main" tab.

Get to know the Chat bar

The Chat bar will display the name of network, along with the number of members online.

Clicking the big button that contains this information will pop Chat right up into your page.A dialogue icon will flash whenever a member invites you into a private chat.The pop-out icon opens chat into a new window.

If you've popped out your chat and want to navigate back to the social network, just click on the social network name in the top-left corner of the Chat window.The icon furthest to the right toggles your online status — the green circle indicates that you're online, and the red circle indicates that you're disconnected. Click this icon to toggle your online status.
